Taking Sides CH.13
I heard footsteps approaching us and whipped my head over to see Felix, Gris, Chairle, Jennifer, and two others I didn't know. Relief flooded my body as I saw Felix completely unharmed. I turned back to Brody, whose smirk still looked too arrogant for me.
"Why are you so happy, I don't have to hold back anymore," I questioned, a smirk of my own coming across. He chuckled, his claw covering his mouth.
"This was my plan, I hope you know," he responded quietly. I scoffed and shook my head.
"Now, I can expose you in front of them all."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that I've had someone on the inside of your little group, and inside of your head. You see; there is a reason my darling Jennifer appeared to you and Felix in your times of need a month ago. I sent her to you," all eyes turned to Jennifer as the color drained from her face.
"What?" I asked through gritted teeth, too angry for words.
"She's quite the little errand girl; infiltrating your minds making it so I can k
"Tell me why I'm doing this again?" I muttered dejectedly. Felix tossed the Wii Remote at me, I caught it with ease.
"Because the Bros wanted to see it," he responded, not taking his eyes off his computer screen. I rolled my eyes for the millionth time.
"Why not Gris, or Chairle, why is it me?" I whispered looking at the ceiling. Felix finished setting up and started up his Wii, then began the recording.
"How's it goin' Bros? My name is Pewdiepie. Welcome to Just Dance 2, with Stephano!" he said, gesturing for me to stand with him. I reluctantly stood as I put the strap around my wrist.
"I hate you Felix," I mumbled shaking my head. He laughed as he selected a song. He scrolled through until he started to laugh, and I knew I was doomed
"I'm a Barbie girl," he muttered the rest of the lyrics as he clicked the song. As the music started, we had to strike possess and move like dolls. As the actual dancing started, I couldn't help but laugh.
"Perfect bitches," I called after st

After a while Felix began to stir on my shoulder. He looked at me sleepily, his eyes still red.
"What happened?" he mumbled, voice heavily laden with remnants of sleep. I smiled at him, a genuine smile, not my usual smirk.
"I told you why Jennifer was here and you had a mental breakdown," I answered quietly.
"And you're hugging me because?" I felt my face redden a little bit.
"I wasn't going to let my bro suffer alone," I responded stubbornly. He laughed and gave me a quick hug back. I stood and helped him up and we made our way to Chairle's room. There we found Gris and Chairle sitting close together, talking quietly, and saw Jennifer lying down, possibly asleep. When they heard us enter they turned to look at us, no fear of me that would've previously been there showed through. After all we had bigger things to worry about.
"You guys have a plan, right?" Chairle asked nervously, his hand gripping Gris' tightly.
"I always have a plan," I responded calmly. They all gave me flat stares.

When we got back Gris and Chairle were cowering in their rooms (separately, Felix checked) and I slept until noon, the same dream taking over my subconscious, and ending at the same point. I awoke hazily to more Just Dance, being played by Gris, who saw me and bolted to another room. I smirked in pride at the fear still instilled in him. Felix walked into the room not long after Gris left.
"You're alive?" he asked jokingly. I rolled my eyes as I stood up.
"I am. Gris is still terrified of me, maybe he'll be quiet for more than five minutes now," I responded running a hand through my hair. Felix laughed as he strode over to his computer.
"I doubt it. I'm gunna record some Happy Wheels," he told me as he logged into his computer and tried to set everything up.
"Try not to suck. I'm going to take a shower," I responded.
"Thanks for the info," he said giving me a thumbs-up before laughing. I rolled my eyes at him quickly went to take a shower.
We stood at the top of the cliff and stared at the water below. I gulped, trying not to let my fear show as I looked at the frothing mass of waves against the rocks.
"Sure about this?" I asked, noting how pale Jennifer looked as she watched the waves.
"Not anymore," she replied backing away from the edge a few inches, I did the same. We had all gathered on the cliff, in anticipation of jumping off. Felix looked nervous as he stood behind me. I knew he was afraid of heights, and told him he didn't have to come, but he can be stubborn. I gripped his hand and pushed my own fear down to give him a reassuring smirk.
"I'M SO TOTALLY PUMPED!!!" Gris yelled, making us all jump in surprise. He ran past us and hurled himself off the cliff. Despite my shock, I let go of Felix and stepped closer to the edge. I looked down to see Gris happily cheering in the water below. We all looked at each other incredibly, not thinking anyone would jump.
"Crazy son of a bitch..." Jennifer muttered, shaking

Felix drove us to a local mall. The whole way there he pointed out local points of interest, and I half-listened, and half tried to sleep some more. When we arrived we quickly made our way to a clothing store. I tiredly looked through some cloths and decided on a few. I quickly changed and looked myself over. I had picked-out a tight-fitting gold shirt and dark grey jeans, with grey and gold sneakers, over that I put a brown aviator's jacket. I did pick out a hat, but decided that I liked my hair, now that I can see it. I smirked to myself and stepped out of the room.
"So Felix, what do you think?" I asked raising an eyebrow. He turned to me and his eyes widened. He stumbled on his words and blushed a little, which cause my smirk to grow into a sly grin. "What?"
"Nothing," he coughed, "he look good Stephano."
"Of course I do, I am Stephano!" I exclaimed, lightly smacking his head. He glared at me and I glared back. "For all the times you got me hit in the head, you little fahker." He s
HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEPHANO!!!
My eyes slowly opened, midday light shining through the curtain. The bed was empty, Felix already up without waking me. Normally he wakes me as soon as he wakes up; the fact he didn't caused me to sit up quickly. Perhaps he was just being nice no, he's always nice was he in danger? I hopped out of bed, not bothering to cover my shirtless chest, out change out of my golden basketball shorts. The house was silent, the only noise was my footsteps hitting the floor; no Gris yelling how pumped he was, no Felix commentating over a game, no Jennifer arguing with Martin about sports, no Chairle quietly talking to Mayo, trying to act as a teacher to him. When I entered the living room, I noticed golden balloons, and golden streamers hanging around the room. I raised an eyebrow, and began to wrack my brain as to why all this was here. Behind me there were several tiny explosions, and confetti rained down on me.
"Happy birthday, Stephano!" A chorus of voices yelled behind me. I turned t
I opened my eyes and slid my sunglasses to the top of my head before looking over at an army of fangirls. They were in an all out sprint over to us, smiles of girlish joy on their faces. Felix was hit with a wave of hugs and tackles, while the rest of us calmly laughed.
"I love you Pewdie!" one of them yelled, trying to mimic Jennifer's voice, which made her angry.
"Marry me!" another begged.
"Make sweet love to my ass!" a male voice yelled from the back. I shook my head and stood up.
Big mistake. Some of the army moved to my side, some stayed with Felix, and some more went to the others.
"Wow Stephano, you're really handsome in person," a girl said as she looked me up and down. Another girl jumped to the front from the back holding a marker.
"Stephano! Sign my boobs!" she called holding the marker to me. I laughed as I un-capped the marker and signed my name on the top of her cleavage. She threw her arms around my and hugged me tightly. "You are the greatest!!!" she yelled before runn
As we made our way back the crowd was more restless than ever. Now they were moving from person to person, whispering something around. As we approached they started screaming.
"Is it true Stephano?!"
"Why didn't you tell us?!"
"Please sign my ass!" as well as a few other phrases were yelled. I shook my head in confusion as I approached.
"Why the fahk are you all talking about?" I asked simply. They looked around at each other, confusion and curiosity on their faces.
"W-we're talking about you and Pewdie?" someone spoke up from the back. Inside my brain quickly began to go into over-drive, but on the outside I slid a quick glare to Gris, and then glared at the crowd.
"Have I ever told you that your fans are crazy, Felix?" I asked with a small glance over to him. He nodded, but wouldn't look at me. "I don't know who told you that, but they were lying. Now, we all came to relax, if you would kindly let us do that, that'd be great," I growled through gritted teeth. They all quickly disban
Her CatalystAs she walks through the maelstrom, the words trace upon the tips of her fingers and press into the stone. Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
So much rubble. So little outcry. The silence of the city grates on her eardrums and the mantras she'd been forced to memorize. The Seers demanded they observe thirteen years of recitation before they attempt to weave their first World together.
But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
Which is why she walks through the chalky soot of the smashed city around her. This all
